Most college students have no idea what specific type of job they want. Most employers ask what position we are interested in but these days there are so many specific job titles

Most employers hiring at a professional level have their positions posted on their websites. Read the positions descriptions over on a few major corporation websites, and you can determine what type of title you would qualify for. That will give you a list of job names to apply for. Tip--even if a position specifies 3-5 years experience, there is probably a junior version of the same position. For example, maybe a director of marketing position specified 5 years experience. Certainly there are positions as marketing assistants. Or for product manager, there are probably associate product manager positions. Or, for client relationship manager, there are probably client service specialists. I made these up, but often this is how one ends up in the career of one's choice.
