What should I say at an interview for a receptionist position?
Asked by Angela
I'm interviewing for a position as a receptionist at my school's Career Development Office. Any suggestions on what I should say when they ask me why I want to work there and why I want to be a receptionist? I really want this job! Thanks.

You should talk about your organizational skills, you people skills and your ability to multi-task. When they ask you why you want the job, tell them you would like to work in an academic setting and this seems like a great place to start. Be honest, if you don't have a lot of experience, it's OK to acknowledge it, but stress your desire and ability to learn quickly and talk about your personality traits that would allow you to excel in this position. Good luck.
