Career Advice for a recent law school graduate?
Asked by EP
I recently graduated from law school, and now I'm searching for a non-legal career where my legal background would still be useful. I've been targeting positions in Energy, HR, Insurance, and Real Estate Developement without much success. Suggestions for alternative strategies? Thanks for the help!!!

I have heard some recent law school grads going into teaching. They were teaching some high school courses, such as, U.S. Government. This may be something you would want to consider. Also, you may want to target recruiting departments of law firms. I often find these departments to be filled with law school grads, so this may be an option. I also know some people take the cushy law librarian position. You may also want to be a Westlaw or Lexis representative. Best of luck! Below are a few websites that you may find useful for alternative careers.
