In the State of California, is it legal to work alone in a warehouse environment?

Im wondering if anyone has any links that would reflect the legality of having someone alone in a place of business that has a warehouse attached? Thanks a bunch! its in a bad neigborhood, for one... and i always thought when there was a warehouse and forklift that 2 people had to be there, incase on gets hurt.

it is not clear why this is questionable is this a place of business that you need to lock the doors to keep people out while you take a 'break'? and what has the warehouse got to do with your work schedule?
